Easy Saturday in LIC

This past weekend I was finally able to get outside after being sick and stuck in my apartment for far too long. On Saturday, my sister and I made our way to the big outdoor flea market in Long Island City, Queens. We spent the day strolling around, eating delicious food (still not over the life-changing Peruvian sandwich I had), and of course, taking lots of photos.

All of the photos in this post were taken by my lovely sister, Kim. Thanks friend, you’re the best. Processed with VSCO with m5 presetNew York weather has been hard to figure out lately (what does 50-something degrees feel like anyway?) and dressing for the day has been tricky. When in doubt, I always opt for light layers that are easy to take off throughout the day.

After thoroughly raiding my closet for a half hour, I finally decided on a very laid-back outfit. I wore my beautiful new turtleneck from Mango (find it here), but since it was a little windy, I decided to throw on an old knit sweater to warm things up. On bottom, I reached for my go-to mom jeans (they’re pretty big on me now, but they’re so comfortable and easy to wear).

To dress up the look, I added some simple gold jewelry and rounded shades. Since I knew we would be walking around for a bit, I threw on some simple white tennis shoes and head out.Processed with VSCO with m5 presetProcessed with VSCO with m5 presetWEARING:
